4444

The goal of 4444 is to try and create the numbers 1-100 using only four 4's and the +, -, ×, ÷, ^, √, !, % operators, parentheses, decimals (and repeating decimals), and the gamma function. Each operator "costs" one point, except for repeating decimals and the gamma function, which cost 2 (parentheses are free). The goal is to have the lowest score for each number, and a "share" button exists to copy your solution for a block of ten numbers that can be pasted into a message on your phone or social media if you feel like competing with friends. If you tap on the numbers that you have completed, you can see all of the different ways that you have come up with to achieve that number, and your score for each attempt.

This game uses the iPi Computer Algebra System (CAS) I have been developing for several years now. Since development of the full math app has been slow, I thought it would be fun to take an old math game that has been around for over 100 years and make an interactive game out of it.
